Spilt system air conditioning units

Hi there. 
 

I am looking to take the lease on a commercial premises, and wish to place two air conditioner units within the space, and place the compressors outside on the roof above.

it is a ground floor unit with residential above. There is a small flat roof directly above the front of the property which would be ideal.

What planning is required for this?
